Throughout the wedding planning process I continually had to use the terms “boy Regan” and “girl Reagan” to get these two straight. It’s not everyday you have a bride and groom with the same name! It’s also not every day you meet a couple with a love story meant for the movies. Regan and Reagan met when the bride was doing a project for school which required her to research online dating sites. On one of those sites she met boy Reagan, they began conversing online and the rest is history! Technology is a beautiful thing.
Girl Reagan wanted her wedding to be nothing but fun and fun it was! Her vision of a carnival theme came to life elegantly thanks to the cotton candy, sketch artists and toy party favors, not too mention the swanky penthouse of the Stoneleigh Hotel! Special thanks to Vim Studio’s Neal Hacker for these fantastic photos…

Matt and Jeanie’s wedding is a wedding I will never forget! The ceremony and reception were both supposed to take place outside at The Grille on the Harbor on Possum Kingdom Lake but when we woke up Saturday morning to drizzly rain and thunderstorms on the radar, we made the decision to switch to Plan B. Plan B put the ceremony at a gorgeous rustic chapel on the property while the reception was able to remain at The Grille. When all was said and done, despite the rain, this was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever coordinated. Pumpkins, lanterns, vintage signs and Fall toned flowers adorned The Grille transforming the rustic ambiance into a venue fit for a wedding.
The rain could have dampened everyone’s spirits but I think we all knew how badly Texas, and this area in particular, needed it. If it is true that rain is good luck on your wedding day, I expect that Matt and Jeanie’s marriage will last forever!
I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Erin Woolsey on this wedding who deserves major kudos for taking these breathtaking photos despite zero cooperation from the weather!
One of the most memorable moments of the day occurred when it was the ring bearers’ turn to walk the aisle. Upon opening the doors for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to begin their descent to the stage, something upset the boys and they began to cry. This got a giggle from the guests but by the time it was their turn to walk, they were escorted to the open doors and stood, holding their teddy bears and screaming (crying, not yelling) at the awaiting guests while the flower girl stood dumbfounded between them. They proceeded down the aisle in full distress until they reached the end and I don’t think I, nor the guests, have ever laughed so hard during a wedding ceremony!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Russell!

This is my favorite. That iron arch draped in branches, greenery and lights with a hanging lantern is so romantic. I’m going to have to get me one of those.
If you plan to wed in the Ojai, California area, these vendors (including the venue) are available for hire!
I wish I lived closer to the beach. If I did I would have a party and copy every single detail of this photo shoot by KT Merry Photography. I was thrilled to see that the shoot took place at the Moorings Village in Islamorada, Florida as we are headed to Florida next month for vacation! I adore the concept too since it reflects a similar concept I had in mind for my own wedding (sans the beach). It’s casual meets elegance aka “black tie meets the beach” incorporating my favorite flower (peonies) and my favorite rock (diamonds). What’s not to love? And just in time for summer…

Corey and Ann Catherine wed on a very special day…my birthday! In fact, not only was it my birthday, it was the mother of the groom, Becky Easterling’s birthday AND during the reception Mr. Easterling received a call that their daughter had delivered a baby girl! This wedding was certainly a day of celebration!
The couple met while attending ‘Ole Miss and was sure to have the football game on every television possible at their reception! Their ceremony took place at Christ the King Catholic Church and the reception at Brook Hollow Golf Club. Please enjoy these photos courtesy of Andrea Polito Photography.
I couldn’t have asked for better clients on my birthday. They were so sweet, so easy-going and so much fun. Ann Catherine even wished me a Happy Birthday on stage at the reception and told all her guests they better do so too. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Easterling!
