Cupcake Liner Pom Pom DIY

I love crafty party ideas that make your wallet happy! Kara over at Kara’s Party Ideas made these Cupcake Liner Pom Poms for her Vintage Valentines Party shoot and I at first glance I thought they were a ball of Carnations! Now THAT’S impressive!

Don’t they look like Carnations on that table!? These are perfect for Valentine’s but would also work nicely for a girl’s party, a baby shower or a wedding shower! Be sure to visit Kara’s blog for the full DIY tutorial!

Pink Perfection

Gasp! I can’t even tell you how much I adore this photo shoot Cynthia Martyn Events created for Style Me Pretty. I am a huge fan of pink, peonies, and vintage style and this shoot has it all. I’m swooning. I wouldn’t change one thing about this…not one!

Seriously? How gorgeous are those flowers hanging from the ceiling? And that peony on the bottom right…wow. Just wow.

The drinks shown above are Champagne Slushies. Champagne or sparkling wine plus pink lemonade and ice in the blender and you’ve got your own special dinner drink! I love it!

Ice Skating Party

I live in Texas so I’m not going to act like I’m ever going to get to throw a party like this one (unless it’s on the mall ice rink) but a girl can dream right? It snowed here this weekend though and I’m just so jealous of all you northerners who could have snow parties any day of the winter if you wanted! We’d be crazy to try and plan a party around snow in the south! For those of you who are blessed enough to see snow more than once during the winter, check out this enchanting ice skating party by Kate of Beautiful Days Weddings and Events

Operation Give Thanks

Operation Shower has put together a great opportunity for you to help military families! This is from the Operation Give Thanks website:

Operation Give Thanks is a nation-wide fundraising campaign to help Operation Shower continue our mission to throw amazing baby showers for military families to ease the burden of deployment….

We are often asked how to best help Operation Shower. We decided that since Operation Shower gives back to our military families through parties, so can YOU !

We are asking people across the nation to host a party, big or small, between now and the end of the year to raise money for Operation Shower. What a wonderful way to express your gratitude and thanks at this special time of year — and have fun!

Our long-term goal is to reach every military base in the nation. Our short-term goal is to raise $50,000 through Operation Give Thanks to enable us to shower over 200 more moms-to-be ! That’s right, if you raise $250 for Operation Shower, that helps us to throw a full amazing baby shower with gifts for a military mom to be whose spouse is deployed!

What a great cause right? AND what a great excuse to throw a party! Also, some of my favorite party sites created FREE printables so you can host your party in style! (You do not have to throw a baby shower to help…you can throw any type of party!) Check it out:

Paper and Cake created these printables which would be just perfect for a baby shower or sip ‘n see!

These printables by Paper and Pigtails would be great for a baby shower, a gender reveal party, a 1st birthday party or a theater party!

Jenn at Parties by Hardie actually created three different printable collections for a girl, a boy or neutral. Her printables would be great for a baby shower or kid’s birthday party.
Hostess with the Mostess took a different route and created her Grateful Mod fall holiday printables that would be great for Thanksgiving or Fall showers and parties!
And last but certainly not least, Kim from The TomKat Studio also created fall themed printables which happen to be my personal favorite!
If you decide to host a party, please email Operation Shower at lena@operationshower.org or amy@operationshower.org and they will help guide you and provide more information!
