Bri’s Broadway Bound Bat Mitzvah | Dallas Bat Mitzvah Coordinator
When I met with Bri's parents to help plan her Bat Mitzvah, I was ecstatic to meet a family with a knack for coordination. Throughout the process, it was evident the love and pride they felt for their daughter and it certainly showed on the night of her ceremony and reception.Bri's Bat Mitzvah theme was "Broadway Bound" and with that came decadent Broadway-themed centerpieces with Playbills as tables numbers and VIP pass escort cards for guests to wear. The night began with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while guests awaited the arrival of the guest-of-honor, who had no idea what to [...]
Kendra’s Lingerie Shower | Dallas Event Planner
Last Fall we threw a French Boudoir themed lingerie shower (aka personal shower) for my sweet cousin Kendra. In the South, lingerie showers are as common as bridal showers but the inspiration is still quite limited online so I was excited for the challenge to come up with something unique. Photos courtesy of The Three Photography.       DÉCOR: I knew I wanted to use drawers on the food table as well as present a bedroom type look for the table and surrounding area. I raided my mom's house for shabby chic drawers and lined the inside with scrapbook [...]
Austin and Courtney Goolsby | McKinney Wedding | McKinney Wedding Coordinator
Boots, branches, burlap and a side of fried chicken and you've got the recipe for Austin and Courtney's fabulous upscale rustic wedding. The venue, formally an authentic textile cotton mill, was charming and vintage with cascading waterfalls, exposed brick and wood-beamed ceilings. Courtney wanted her wedding to be rustic and elegant but also wanted guests to have a good time. At the reception, most guests crowded the dance floor while others returned for seconds catered by Babe's Chicken. You can't go wrong when you're catering Babe's. You just can't. Courtney and her dad started off the party with their own [...]
Baby Headbands | Baby Shower Activity
I'm not a big "games" person, especially when it comes to baby showers. I prefer activities such as decorating onesies or writing prayers or scripture for the baby so when I saw this idea on Hostess with the Mostess I wanted to blog about it immediately so I would never forget. This particular baby shower was Paris themed and although the entire shower was simply adorable, I loved their activity the most(ess): making headbands for the baby! One of the hostesses actually made these bows ahead of time but depending on your guests, you could set out a picture or [...]
Patrick and Kendra Drew | Dallas Wedding | Dallas Wedding Coordinator
This wedding I am posting today is near and "deer" to my heart because it is my cousin Kendra's wedding. Kendra and Patrick's Fall wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever helped coordinate. Also one of the most difficult weddings I've ever coordinated since I was a bridesmaid too! Regardless, the weekend was perfect and the weather cooperated beautifully which was lucky for us since we didn't really have a back up plan. One of the things I loved most about Kendra and Patrick's wedding is how traditional they were with their wedding. My aunt (and mom) [...]
