This past weekend was a whirlwind of parties with a sip and see, a baby shower and two birthday parties! Luckily I was only fully responsible for planning one of those parties, a sip and see for my best friend Brittany’s newest addition, sweet baby Adalyn Marie. I shared her big sister Anna Grace’s baby shower with you last week and am thrilled to share this one with you as well!

This party turned out to be a special event for me when Brittany asked me to be Adalyn’s Godmother right before the sip and see started. It takes a lot to make me cry but you better believe I smeared my make up just in time for guests to show up! Here is a picture of me and my gorgeous goddaughter.

As for the decor, Brittany decided she wanted the shower at her own house so guests could see Adalyn’s nursery and since Adalyn’s nursery colors are purple and more purple, I decided to carry that color scheme over into the decor.

I know drink flags are nothing new, but I will use them for every party from here on out. They are so easy to assemble and make finding your drink a breeze when you’ve set it down next to someone else’s and can’t remember which one is yours!
Brittany’s sister Anna made the banner with her Silhouette machine. Kudos to the Silhouette for this event. It was responsible for cutting all the cupcake toppers, drink flags and food cards!
Instead of a sign in book, guests filled out blessings for Adalyn.
Anna made cheesecake truffles from a recipe I found on Bakerella and they were divine. I mean
one of the best things you’ll ever put in your mouth good. I saved a few to eat for lunch (and snack and dinner) the next day.

A HUGE thanks to Brittany’s sister Anna and mom Jane who were rockstars in helping me set up for everything. They were a blessing! Brittany’s mother-in-law Cinde was also so sweet to contribute food for the event. Without all their help, the sip and see wouldn’t have been successful!
